My iPhone 3g has a blacked out screen

After opening cydia, it attempted to repair itself and the screen went black after a while when it was repairing and I cannot restore the screen. I feel it vibrate when i push the vibrate/sound switch and when i plug it into itunes it vibrates or makes a sound depending on the mode. I can hear it making some sounds now but the screen is just black. It has not been dropped or anything. whats the problem?

Try putting it into DFU mode, and do a restore.

Before doing that, try holding down both the menu and the power button at the same time untill it reboots.

I just restored the thing to factory settings ad jailbroke it again. Must have been a malicious download or something.
