My iPhone 3G is sluggish as hell! What to do?

My iPhone 3G is sluggish as hell!
I tried doing a restore, tried rebooting it.....still same

Can anyone recommend something to speed it up?
It is a iPhone 3G non S model, non jailbroken, AT&T...

Either restore as new or reset all settings.

Did you totally restore or did you restore from backup?

Sometimes things can get messed up that then get included in the backup. So you can potentially bring a 'bug' over from one phone to the restored phone through the backup.

Just wipe it totally and start fresh. You lose your app's data, but it may be worth it.
