So I was trying to repair the front glass when I kind of made it even worse. The touchscreen works but looks awful so I want to try again and repair the whole thing. The problem is I see a lot of repair kits, parts, lcds, digitizers and things that I don't know what they are in eBay so I'm asking if any of you know what should I buy to repair the front glass and the lcd screen (and if I need any other part). Thanks!

As much as some of these replacements screens are, you'd probably be better off getting a brand new 3G off eBay/Craigslist or something. Or, as the other poster stated, you should probably just upgrade to something newer.

You jus need a new LCD screen and a new front glass and digitizer (which come as one). I would get them both off amazon and it would probably be ~35 bucks.

thanks for the replies. i also own an iphone 4 but i'd like to repair this one just to give it to a friend ;)

You'll need a new digitizer and a new LCD, My friend did a repair and he spent like 100~~ bucks to fix it, There's a post saying you can get the set for 35 bucks, that's pretty amazing for me, if that's possible then def do it. I'm not sure if it is that cheap though....

I would immediately search craigslist and have someone local that knows what they are doing repair your phone

some people just don't have that DIY gene haha
