My iPhone 4 now has a short ring length, even text cuts short!

lol its the new firmware, theyr supposed to be like that since so many people complained that the text sounds were too long

But I barely get a chance to answer the phone now!
I miss most calls & they go to voicemail.
& also my lovely ringtones dont get a chance to even "start"

Surely they should have changed the text notification sounds then coz all it sounds like is it is cut in half & it sounds weird/faulty
