My iPhone 5's proximately sensor broken?

Hey,

My new 16GB Black iPhone arrived yesterday. And when trying to make calls the screen does not turn off. Works, on my old 3GS and dads 4 but this just doesn't work?

Anyone got any ideas what I could try and do to fix it?

Reset?
Return?
