Was fairly uneventful. Got there around 12pm, line was just around the corner of the store. Total wait was about hour and a half. They had plenty of 64/128GB iphone 6 in all colors for ATT/Verizon. 16GB was mostly sold. 6 Plus completely sold out (who cares?).
Gentleman behind me needed to step away for a short meeting and Apple staff accommodated his return into the line once he came back.
Once the Apple employee called me up the process was fairly simple. The only thing which irritated me was that she wanted my ID to match the billing address of the account which is completely retarded seeing as I'm on a family plan and do not live at the primary account holder's residence. W/e she had me sign into the ATT account to verify.
The phone itself was inspected prior to purchase to make sure there was no defects. Scanned the screen thoroughly for dead pixels and made sure there was no other defects.
Tried to purchase a leather case but it was sold out for iphone 6. (had plenty for the sold out ip6 plus though)..
Anyway as far as the phone itself, it feels really good in the hand. I know that they could have done a better job minimizing the bezels (trust me i've made several threads about it).
It's very thin and light but I'm not sure I would want to put a case on it. The problem is that it's at the threshold size wise. (which also makes me absolutely flabbergasted that they even made a 5.5 inch one).
Performance wise it seems great so far. The loud speaker is very nice and many of the existing apps now have extra information on screen because there is more screen real estate.
Custom keyboards are fantastic. I'm using fleksy and it's really great. Also nice to be able to customize the colors right within the keyboard app.
Haven't really played around with anything else but so far I think it's money well spent. Especially now that you get 64gb for $100 more. A no brainer in my opinion.
Was going to attempt to trade in my iphone 5 32gb but they quoted me $200 which was quite appalling. Will sell on craigslist.
