Yesterday I had my 6+ in my pocket for 2 hours. I took it out and it was pretty warm and not from my body heat. No apps were running in the background. I turned it OFF for 30mins and it cooled down. It's been OK since the reboot.

Anyone else if this issue?

My wife has had the same issue with her 6+ last week. Two different times when she removed it from her purse, she noticed it was very warm. After a re-boot the problem stopped. All I can think of is the phone is constantly trying to find a cell since she is inside a hi-rise building at work. Hopefully the problem is corrected with IOS 8.2.

Network issues are probably at fault here. There's the problem of weak signal, but it's even true if you have a strong 4G (HSPA) signal and a just-barely-receivable LTE signal. Unless you disable LTE, the phone will keep trying to connect to that weak LTE signal, using up battery and generating heat.

The same is true if you have weak Wifi coverage.
