when open (slide to unlock) found several missed call

My iPhone after it locks(from the Auto-Lock), the screen turns black. If anybody calls me, the iPhone doesn't show it. Once I unlock it, then it shows many missed calls-And in return the people that called me think that I did not answer, when in actuality, I couldn't

has it always done it?never heard about this issue, but i guess a restore won't harm the thing, plug it in the computer,go the iPhone section in iTunes and hit restore,should take a while
