My iPhone earpods are suddenly very quiet

Are they dead or something?


I've had them since the iPhone 5 launch.

Yes, they died. They have year warranty, take them to apple store for replacement.

Sounds like bad headphones, but try a different pair to be sure.

Check other headphones. If they are all as quiet, you may have a very serious inner ear problem, bilaterally.

This answer. I constantly check to make sure my are clean and my brother thought he killed a pair before just to find out ear wax clogged them.

LoL, I know he showers but who knows if he cleans his ears on a regular basis.

They will swap it out with no problems.. heck sometimes they won't even check for the problem and just take your word for it

Accessories of iPhones have that 1 year warranty on it too, AC+ or not

This means they are dying, I've experienced this with every pair of earbuds by Apple I have ever had ( like 4 or 5 )

Trust me its ear wax. Just clean out your headphones. Also, don't mind the comments by people asking if you clean your ears. The design of these ear pods make it impossible to avoid ear wax build up over time.
