It seems i'm getting text messages from a random person posing as multiple people from my contacts. How do I stop this from happening and what triggered this?

Your phone hasn’t been hacked. There’s a jailbreak app (I forget the name), which allows someone to fake their address, so I suspect it’s someone you know playing a joke on you.

It's someone you know using an online service to send text messages using other people you know as the return number.

If i respond it goes back to my friend or the person? whats this online service called?

ah ok, as long as they can't get into my personal stuff and text my friends then I can playing the waiting game and ignore this person

Well ... since they do have your number and your friends' numbers - they could text your friends from your number too ...

But, there is nothing you can do, except wait for them to get bored.

So i don't understand how my phone isn't hacked but they have my contact list from my iphone?
