iPhone 6(S)/Plus My iphone has latest IOS but itunes reports it different

Hello friends,

My Iphone 6s+ has the latest IOS but Itunes still says it has an update to apply. Could anyone please advise on how to fix it. I tried to "Update" but after downloading 3GB+ it says error updating.

There are two different versions of 12.1.2 one that was OTA and one that is iTunes specific. The one on iTunes is a newer version. If you already updated to 12.1.2 over the air, the newer version won’t show up unless you connect your device to iTunes..

Thanks I updated to the newer version using Itunes. now all good!
