I tried to connect to iTunes

Hi,

I just tried to connect to the iTunes and i was able click on the restore button, but 5 minutes into it a message appeared. The message said "itunes could not connect to your iPhone because it is locked with a passcode. you must enter you passcode on the iPhone before it can be used with the iTunes."

The wierd thing is that it is still updating the iPhone software while this message is up
You should be able to plug it into iTunes and restore the device.

I hate when that happens.. my friends usually prank my phone and I have to wait 5-20minutes before I can unlock it.

Apple should have something like another Master lock in order to avoid this.

For some reason I dont want to accept it

There is hope!! I hope..... hahahaa

Thank you

There was another thread about this same issue when the phone was locked for an insane amt of time and the consenus was you are just out of luck:eek:

Problem Solved!!!!!!!!

Ok the first time I connected to the iTunes, I was able to click on the restore button. The first thing it did was to update my iPhone software but while it was updating a message appeared and said that iTune could not access my iPhone because of the passcode. I ignored the message and did not cancel it and let the update finish. Once the update was complete i clicked on the cancel button and tried to connect to iTunes one more time. Again i was able to click on the restore button and be successfull. Thank you all for your help!!!!!! Happy Holidays!!!!!

Nice!!!

I'm glad you fixed it, but i think that if put i think another way was to put your phone in DFU mode and then restore it.
