So here is what happened. Yesterday my phone froze. The screen was ON on the lock screen but I was not able to do anything. I was not able to slide to unlock - the display was completely unresponsive. I tried pressing the lock button, long holding it, I tried holding all buttons, all sort of combinations and still nothing. I asked a friend to call me - there was a signal like the phone is ON and okay but it was not ringing on my end or anything. At this point, I was like - okay it is dead. In a minute or so, the phone showed the Apple Logo and eventually loaded and now it is working.

Now that I could think of there was one time that my lock button and display were not responsive on the first hit and I had to repeat the click or touch to respond.

Just to make it clear and give some more information - once I bought the phone I have set it up as a new one and not restored from backup. The phone was never dropped or got anywhere near water.

Does anyone here on the forum has experienced anything like this? If you have any advice or similar experience let me know if I should go to Apple Store and have them check my phone. Thanks!

Freezes happen all the time, nothing new.

Your phone froze and eventually rebooted. Had this been your computer, you would have turned it off and and then back on and moved along.

You tried all combinations of things to get the phone to work again, but apparently none of them were a hard reset. I don't know what button combo that is on the Max, but you may want to look that up for the future.

But unless your phone is doing this consistently it's nothing to be worried about.
