so, i must have way too much time on my hands, but i surely can't be the only one would thought it was weird they named the 6th iphone, the iphone 5.
yet, yesterday, i had a revelation. do you guys remember the ROCKR? that horrid Motorola/Apple product? if we count that as the first generation apple phone, then we have a consistent naming convention:
Gen 1: ROCKR
Gen 2: Original Iphone (2G)
Gen 3: Iphone 3G and 3GS
Gen 4: Iphone 4 and 4S
Gen 5: Iphone 5 and ???
btw, if you hink of the ROCKR's OS as a version 0.x if uIS ie, an alpha or beta version, we can even include consistency among iOSs
