Well, here I go.

My phone was unlocked (by ziphone) it had been acting up. I would touch the screen and it would not respond. So I restored it to the original settings and it started to work fine. I decided that (since I have dial-up) and haven't updated my phone in a while that I would take my phone to my girlfriends house and update it.

I did that and it was working pretty fine. Well later that night she tried to call me and I went to slide the answer button to answer the call. Well it didn't work. I had my blue tooth on. That didn't work. So I got kind of rough with it and tossed it on the floor.

I picked it up and to my amazement the lock button was jammed. -_-

So it kept trying to lock the phone, turn it off and whatnot and then it made the touch screen worse. I would go to touch something and it would choose a totally different thing and the camera kept trying to come on.

So I did some thinking, went online and found out how to open the phone. Which I did. I opened it and un-jammed the button. But I couldn't fix it. So now I can't lock my phone and the touch screen is still off. When I go to dial a number my 4 doesn't want to respond too well as well as my 6. And when my girlfriend still calls me, I can't answer the phone.

So, I am quite lost indeed. It is an iPhone (1st Gen). I would take it to the apple store. But I have opened it and that voids my warranty. So I don't know what to do.

Anybody have any suggestions, my best option I see is to make it last and try to sell it on eBay. Thanks.
