How’s it going, everyone? I had the same connect/disconnect battery case problem that’s mentioned in another thread. Apple sent me a replacement case but I’m using the same one I got when it launched. Anyway, the fix is to take the case off and push firmly (don’t kill it) DOWN on the white connector on the bottom of the case! Over time, I believe it gets slightly bent upwards because of heat and perhaps the bottom lip getting caught when pulling phone out of front pocket of jeans. I have to repeat this maybe every 2-3 months now.

I have been so frustrated with this case. I have had all the battery cases in the past and never had an issue until now. I am going to give this a try when I get home. I finally said enough is enough and stopped using it.

I just started using it again for the second time. The first time I used it again, it was good again for a few days, and then went back to the spotty connection. Maybe the case eventually goes back to original elasticity over time, and then quickly restretches again after using it for just a while. When it was new it took months before it started acting up.

So you think it’s how tight the case holds the phone that is the issue?

I believe it is because the case is flexible too. Someone in another thread stated they notice the lightning connector bends over time and if they gently straighten it, the issue will stop for a while. I will need to check that out if mine starts acting up again. It's been good so far since I started using it again yesterday.

[doublepost=1566798880][/doublepost]All I know, is that it’s been 3 months since I had to push down on the connector and I live in Florida and wear jeans a lot. FWIW: My wife briefly used the free case that Apple sent me and I had to do the bend down trick for her after only one day. She used the case for 10 days but didn’t like the weight.

And she had zero problems for those 10 days.

This time it's been about a week, and it's still good.

Rad! Really love having zero concerns about running out of battery now that the case will work for long periods with only the occasional push down fix. I HATED the case and was lifting up on the connector for a few weeks until and I tried pushing down. Anyway,
