My iPhone3G is screwing up big time

I have never had issues with the original iPhone or the 3G until this past week. I am getting emails 3 and 4 days late...half of the calls I get do not come through I just get a voice mail. And people are getting my texts hours late. What is the deal here? I have reset the network settings and did a soft reset. Any ideas? Is this just at&t at its finest?
