Compared to my parent's iPhone 5, my iPhone 5 felt very sluggish switching between apps and even text messages. I upgraded to the iPhone 6 and it also felt sluggish. My parents phones are very snappy.

I downloaded the "Battery Doctor" and it said that my memory is 83% full. I ran the "boost" and it went down to 30% and suddenly my phone felt very fast... although temporarily. After I ran it again a few minutes later, it was back at 83%.

I restored my phone from iCloud backup initially but would be willing to set up the phone new if that would fix this problem... but I don't know how to make sure I save all of my contacts and get them back on the phone?

Any other ideas as to why I am using so much memory? I have done the following:

1. Deleted all text messages
2. deleted camera roll
3. cleared cache
4. closed apps running in the background

Thanks for the help!

Restore to factory setting. Then sign into iCloud to get your contacts back since that is the most important thing. Then Manually download some Apps.
