iPod touch My ipod touch 1st generation wont get out of sleep mode

When my first generation ipod touch died I plugged it into a wall USB port to charge when went back later to use it again it would act like its restarting. The white apple would appear in the center of the screen then after about 20-30 seconds it would die again Im not sure if it needs a new battery cause ive had it for about two years or if it is some how frozen please help

Try a different charger. Does sound like the battery could be it. Did you buy Applecare?

Sometimes parts just die. Hope you bought Apple Care.
