I got my iPod touch a few months ago and I have dropped it a couple of times, but there has been no appearant damage until the day before yesterday when it stopped opening any apps besides the ones that origanally came on the iPod, I turned it on and off a couple of times, even reset it, but nothing happened. I kept listening to music on it, however, until it turned off, it was fully charged and even plugged in, I could still turn it back on but every once In a while it would get all these vertical lines and turn off. Then today I got on wifi and did a software update, thinking that would help, and now I can open all apps but it still turns off (less frequent) and has trouble holding onto the wifi signal, also the time is wrong. The battery was a little variable before it started breaking down.
Does anyone know what I can do?

Since it's only a few months old, it should be under warranty. Take it to your local Apple store. I probably wouldn't mention that it had been dropped :D.
