I just bought an ipod nano and I'm having problems charging it. I had the same issue with my mini. I plug it in, itunes opens, my ipod updates, but from there on nothing happens- it just wont charge.

What's wrong, and how do I get my ipod to charge?

Maybe your USB Port isn't powered? Have you got the power adapter (or another mains USB adapater?)

This could be a battery defect. If you take it to apple store they will replace it for you. If it's not under a one year warantee or apple care, they will charge you $59.

However, check if the problem isn't really just on a software side.

or you could just buy yourself a powered usb hub for like 20 bucks, kill two birds with one stone.
