iPod touch My itouch is stuck on Apple screen

Hey guys i need some help with a itouch guru.
My itouch 1g is seriously messed its stuck on the frozen screen, i tried connecting it to my computer and its asking me for my password and i cant freaking restore it cause i cant enter password on my itouch WHICH IS STUCK ON LOADING SCREEN so please tell me what to do?

Sounds like a restore is required. You'll need to put it in to restore mode first:

Repair

place it in restore mode (hold down the HOME button and SLEEP button at the same time, when it reboots, let go off all buttons and when the connect to itunes screen comes, do so. Preform a restore.
