My iTunes library doesn't shuffle.

I've tried everything to get it to shuffle even resorting to reinstalling it. I've tried everything and even came up empty handed after Googling it.

I've tried changing the settings from shuffling from songs to albums or groupings, but nothing works. It seems like such a small problem, when really it's very cumbersome to deal with. Any suggestions?

Oh and I use iTunes 8.

Lets say I'm playing a song i.e. Dream On-Aerosmith. The shuffle is on. When the song finishes, it goes to the next song on the album.

If I play a song that doesn't have a "next song" ahead of it, once the song is over, then it's just over. I need to select another song to be played.
