My iWork and iLife apps "updated" to their old versions (which I never had installed)

Numbers, Keynote, Pages, iMovie and iPhoto (not GarageBand) were greyed out for a few hours saying "waiting" and it wasn't possible to open them, even though there were no updates in the App Store. When I checked later, they had downgraded to the old versions, complete with old logos and skeuomorphic UI. I never even had these versions; I installed the new iWork and iLife when they went free. After a few hours, the App Store said iPhoto had an update (dated October 22) and now I have the latest iPhoto, but the rest are still old.

Anyone know what happened?
