My keyboard backlight buttons dont work.

My keyboard backlight buttons dont work. The keyboard backlighting works when I'm in low light conditions, but I can't control them with the buttons. When I press them it comes up with this:

Make sure that the Illuminate the Keyboard in Low Light conditions option is turned on in the keyboard control panel. If the buttons still don't work and you are in a dark place, then call apple or take it to an apple store to have it serviced.

This. There's also a program called lab tick that lets you manually control the backlight irregardless of the lighting.
