My M4 Mac Mini blows the doors off my Intel i7 12800H gaming laptop for photo scanning!

Scanning a 12x18 photo bed at 600 DPi tiff the laptop takes 2 minutes while the Mac Mini only takes 50 seconds! The laptop takes over a minute to save the same file while the mini saves it in less than 1 second! Both tested on Vuescan.

This is an M4 mini not a Pro!

"Gaming laptop" is an oxymoron.

My car has an engine, four wheels, and can go faster than 100 MPH, but it isn't a racing car.

The new Macs are blazingly fast, but comparing it to a meh laptop isn't the best way to judge performance.

That said, it seems the Mac is a huge improvement, which is awesome!! I'm still waiting for mine to arrive! Should be here some time next week hopefully!!
