my mac became the slowest machine in the house..help please.

since my dad changed some settings in the router after speaking to linksys my computer has ran like its on dialup and my iphone wont even work on the routher. what could have possible caused this? i am going nuts and cant stand the slow internet speed. i am the only mac user and we have 4 windows machines and there running fine. its NOT my computer or my iphone becuase my friends iphone doesent work either. its something in the router settings i guess.

Check your DNS settings. System Preferences -> Network -> Advanced -> DNS

Make sure they match what the router has set in its menu. You didn't mention if you were using ethernet or wireless but check both anyway.
