My MacBook has started beeping at me whenever I type anything. I have recently installed some new, perhaps not fully debugged, software but I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling to troubleshoot and it always makes the noise.

It is the "Funk" sound that I have as my error sound by default.

Thank you in advance.

So stop typing! Can't you take a hint? :D (that's a joke!)
You said you restarted. Did you restart the application, or reboot your Mac? It makes a difference.

Okay, no it doesn't. Which is why I'm inclined to think its something I installed (like a prefpane or something), but I have deactivated all of my custom panes plus I've gone through Activity Monitor shutting down anything that doesn't look important. Problem still occurs.

Okay, fixed it. Problem was caused by the process RapidoWriteService, uninstalled and beeping stopped. Strange because I've used that for a while now.
