There's a gray screen with a loading sign like there is on iOS when you're syncing. It won't get past that. Sometimes the screen turns blue then goes dim

----------

I was updating my developer preview mac and it got stuck on the reboot. Finalizing update or something. I know it's my fault so please keep the smartass comments to yourself

Did you try rebooting into the recovery partition or internet recovery?

No. You know the spinning gear when you're syncing on iOS? That's what it is. I'm on internet recovery now. Will it work? My mac shipped with mountain lion so there's nothing to download from the App Store.

Well I learned my lesson. No more betas for mac for me

You should be able to get ML back with Internet Recovery. Just do a command-option-r boot and once the recovery screen comes up use Disk Util to erase Macintosh HD then click install OS. Of course all your data will be gone from this, so hopefully you have a backup.

Yeah I did it already, sucks, it wasn't even an unofficial update source, i was updating straight from the MaS. Whatever what's done is done and there's nothing i can do about it
