For some reason, my Mac Mini wont sleep. I have my Mac Mini set to sleep in 20 minutes, but it doesn't. The small, white LED on the front of the Mac Mini doesn't blink. Help!

I just got mine and checked while sleeping the light oscillates from bright to dim slowly. kind of threw me off.

I think it's software bug. You might have an app that is blocking the sleep somehow. Have you installed something in the near past? Also restarting could help if you haven't done it yet

It should also sleep by pressing the power button once (not long enough to power off). You can also assign a hot corner for sleep in Sys Prefs.

The last thing I installed was Logitech Control Center, then uninstalled it. So there could be an app running in the background? I only usually run Firefox.

Does it sleep when you put it to sleep? Or is the problem only if you want it to automatically sleep?

Restart it and do not open any app, just put/let it to sleep. If it works, then there's an app blocking it

The problem is it doesn't automatically sleep. I'll try that now.

you can check the console for the wake event. most of them are due to EHC1/2 which are USB wake events. some USB hubs do that. check it out. make it go to sleep and see whats goin on in the console.

hot corner for sleep would be a terrible idea IMO. and pressing the power button once for a second only will work if it's set up to do so inside Sys. Prefs
