Hello Gents!
Could this be a power fluctuation or something? I had booted from a USB Mavericks Install Drive and I was wiping the hard drive with a three pass secure erase and everything was fine for the first four hours of the wiping process, then suddenly the Mac Pro restarts for no apparent reason! There was no message displayed when it rebooted, it just did a normal reboot... Could a power fluctuation have caused this? The TV was on the same multi plug and did not turn off when it happened though... I recently did complete hardware tests with Techtools Pro and everything was A-OK... I'm really worried now, this machine is my main work tool, I can not afford for it to go wrong. Maybe it's the USB? I wipe it with zeros every now and then even though I know I don't need to but I am paranoid about data corruption...
If anyone has any ideas I'd really appreciate the input!
Thanks gents!
