I have a Mac Pro 2x2.66ghz with 3 GB of ram and the standard nvidia 7300 card. Running programs like iphoto takes about 10 seconds. When I run world of warcraft, everything else seems very sluggish. When I place my cursor across the icons in my dock, the magnifying animation even seem very sluggish. Is this about average for 3gb of ram? What should I do to determine for sure if there is something wrong or not?

open: applications/utilities/activity monitor

have a look at what is running and how much CPU it is taking up.. also have a look at your ram

one other thing to check is your hard drive space. If you have less than 10% empty space, it is time to clean house or get a larger/second drive.
