My Mac won't let my change display profiles. U2711 here.

I downloaded a .icm profile for my U2711 that was calibrated in a dimly lit room with a Spyder3, but every time I select it it reverts back to the stock profile. I can see the change happening (the standard one is overly saturated) and it works if I change my second monitor to use that profile (a 19" old HP). It's just the U2711 that reverts back automagically.

How would I go about fixing this?
