My MACbook wont make that "beep" sound when I press the up/down volume buttons. However the sound is normal, i can listen to music and watch videos and all that but it is just that absence of sound when pressing those buttons.

Any ideas of why this is happening?

Thanks in advance!

@ adamlbiscuit:

Go into System Preferences, and then Sound. Under the Sound Effects tab, make sure "play feedback when volume is changed" is ticked.

Hey adamlbiscuit thanks for your quick reply, I did the steps that you recommended but actually when I got there (to system preferences/sound...) the "play feedback when volume is changed" was actually ticked already

Some of the sound effects in OS X are quieter than others. Play around with them until you find one you hear consistently. Otherwise, I don't know.
Edit: Also, it's MacBook. lol
