Hello,

Any idea why my macbook air doesn't recognize my Samsung S3?
It recognized it before and everything was cool (which is weird to be honest)... all pictures downloaded to iphoto and everything was smooth... now it's not even recognized, I tried to change the cable I'm using but I trust the cable is not really the issue here..

Appreciate your advice.

Thanks

I have a S3 mini and before doing the obvious and wipe Samsung's bloat, the phone couldn't be detected. I believe that you have to install Samsung Kies for that, or Android File Transfer, from Google.

Just so you know: AFT and Kies are both terrible.

My advice is to use cloud based services (google drive, play music, gmail, etc. or even dropbox) to sync your pictures and documents. I hope it helps.

I find that AFT actually works better (more reliable) on my Note3 than on my former S4. With the S4 it kept loosing the 'connection' wwwwhen and iffffff it found the s4

But sometimes the app lags and when I tried to pass my music to my device it usually had to force quit.

Anyway, to sync stuff like music is better to create a google play music account, upload all of your music, and then sync it with the device.

+1 on the lagging part (S4).
I wonder if my good Note 3 performance is due to the fact that it's USB 3?
