I've been having a problem recently where I press the power button on my MacBook and all i et is a blank screen and the sleep light on. I have to close and open the lid and mash the keyboard to get it to start booting. It's rather annoying. Any ideas of what to do?

Thanks

Hmmmm, could you post a little bit more information?

For instance are you booting from cold or is the computer already in sleep.(Although it does sound like you're trying to boot from cold)

What is your boot config? (dual boot with default into....., single boot OSX)

How old is your MacBook.

What version of OSX do you have loaded.

When you press the power button does it go into 'sleep' immediately or does it get part way into the boot cycle before going to sleep.

And any other info you can think of......

(Maybe somebody in this forum can help out....)
