My Macbook Desktop Doesn't Allow to Move Items!

my mac desktop doesn't allow me to move items, when i go to view options and set the arrangement to none or snap to grid, i still can't move it. Every time i try to drag an item to another place on the desktop, it just jumps back to its original spot. The only way i can sort them out is to arrange by name, date, kind, etc. But even though i do this, i can't manually drag them and place them around the desktop. i don't know what's wrong!

The symptoms that you are demonstrating seem to be normal for Snap to Grid but does it do the same for None?

Yes, Snap to Grid and None do the same thing.
