I bought my MacBook in November 2007 and last January it was stolen at school.

I reported it to the police but had no results.
Last week I found the site: http://www.mark-up.com/stolen/ and registered on it. A couple of days later I got an email that my MacBook is on eBay. Sure enough it was there.
I contacted eBay and local police - now it's in a process of being returned to me.

Being a student in these times, I'm more strapped for cash than ever (I had been using the schools computers for my assignments since the MacBook was stolen). Now I should have my laptop back in a few more days.

Some technical specs for the MacBook:
Intel 2Ghz duo 2Gb RAM
13" screen, black

After a year!

Well done on getting it back, let's hope it is in good condition!

Thats a cool site, I have to keep that in mind and I hope I don't ever need to use it. I'm glad you got your Macbook back!

good news! awesome to hear.

definitely give an update when you get it returned to you!

sorry to hear about your unfortunate loss, but congrats again

Awesome! Always good to hear GOOD news.

Bookmarked that site, taken a screenshot of my specs, and transferred to the mobile devices, to have the info if needed!

Hopefully I will NEVER need this.
