Hi,

I have a macbook pro 2010, core i5. I tried it with two external monitors and in both cases it does not detect the monitor unless I restart the laptop with the external monitor cable attached.

- I tested it with the mini displayport to VGA for the projector
- I tested it with mini displayport to displayport and the Dell U3011 LCD.

After the restart, it works fine and both monitors are detected but if I disconnect the LCD from laptop and plug it again, it wont work until I restart it.

I had mac os 10.6.x and now I upgraded to 10.7 and still the same issue.

Any comment or help is welcome.

Thanks.

Are you starting the computer with the laptop in clamshell mode? That normally doesn't work very well from my experience.
