Hello,

I currently have Tiger on my 15" Intel Macbook Pro and was given a free copy of Leopard by the retailer when I bought it in December '07. After many complaints from people, I decided to hold off installing. Now, I just tried to install the DVD and it spat it right out. There was none of the usual noises it makes as it reads a CD/DVD.

Can you help? I didn't purchase Apple Care and the warranty was up in December last year... Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Thanks

You didn't tell us much...have you tried another disc in your mac? (preferably a DVD-ROM)

Have you tried the disc in another mac?

Ejecting the disc

Well...

I am a newbie. Yes, I did check the disc in other computers and tried others that had previously worked. In fact the disc in question was a box fresh retail copy of Leopard. It refused to install or even mount on the desktop.

Why does it not read the DVD?

Any ideas?

Thank-you for responding
