Hello everyone.

So I've recently had a bit of a problem with my MacBook Pro. Every now and then it starts randomly lagging, even when I've only got a few tabs up with no other applications running. Sometimes when I play music the Mac has troube with the sound and I hear a... you know that sound a broken radio or phone makes? That "bzzzzhhhh"? Yeah, like that.

My Mac is 13 inch version from 2011.

Dunno how much about my Mac I'm supposed to post here so here's what I think you want to know.

Processor: 2,4 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory: 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB

Serial Number: C02H50HJDV13

Software: Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63b)

Sorry if this is the wrong section to post.

Post a screenshot of Activity Monitor, preferable when you're having the troubles, make sure to select ALL processes, System Memory and %CPU so that the top using processes are on top, see screenshot.

You posted in the right section.

Either you're running out of ram and it's doing page outs, or your hard drive is being very slow and causing freeze ups.

Post those screenshots from above and also do a disk speed test with Blackmagic Disk Speed from the App Store and see what it says. I found a hard drive of mine to be extremely slow and it was an indication it was dying.

My MacBook Pro is lagging and sounds weird.

Sounds like your HDD is going out or it could be your RAM.
