My Macbook Pro is stuck in sleep mode, i have manually shut it down and restarted it. ive reset the SMC and tried everything i can but no matter what i do it wont wake up. what do i do?
It would also help to know what model you have, and what you have tried to resolve the problem. You're not exactly overwhelming us with specificity here.
I know it sounds silly, but is your battery charged? Did you plug it in?
How many lights are showing on the battery? It has a full charge?
Can you turn the computer off by holding the power button? When you turn it back on, does it return to sleep immediately?
yeah, i can turn it on and off but it turns on and automatically goes into sleep, all 5 are showing, the little light on the front of the laptop is pulsating saying its in sleep mode
OK, that is unlike mine. The light on mine just turns on and stays on without pulsating. You may have a less serious problem than me.
Does the computer run properly with the battery removed? (There were actually two models released in 2008, the last aluminum body and the first unibody.)
