I just did a clean reinstall of tiger on my OS X partition (i'm still using bootcamp beta). However, right before it prompted for the 2nd disk, the screen got... well trippy. the trademark blue is now either orange or green when i start up. when I started up in XP the same thing happened so i decided to erase everything (i've got all my big stuff backed up thank god) and reinstall on ONE partition. Still has the same wacky graphics. So this leads me to believe the problem is either 1) my disks are bad or 2) my hardware broke at an extremely coincidental time. My question is, does anyone know what has happened here? I'm really afriad i've broken my monitor, i'm hoping that it's either the disks (guess i'll finally upgrade to leopard) or the video card, which is a lot easier to fix than a broken notebook screen.

You sir just saved me a lot of time money and trouble. thanks a bunch that did just the trick.
