Hello,

I have an Early 2012 ( bought in 03-2012 ) Macbook pro 13inch.

Recently all out off the sudden the macbook s topped charging.

When i put my cable in the outlet the light goes green for like 2-3 seconds. the screen also lights up and the battery icon in the top bar also says it charges in that time. after those 2-3 seconds it just stops.

I took it to an apple store and they said it probably was water damage and to check it i had to pay 80 euro's if it really was water damage. if it was then i also had to pay the repair bill on top of the 80 euro's which i think is a huge rippoff.

Ive never exposed my macbook to water or what ever.

also, how is it possible that it CAN charge for 2-3 seconds but then just stops?

I think apple programmed this in to catch some money. i really need to get rid of this error. It's in the macbook itself.

I tried an SMC reset but that didnt work.

Please help me!

Bram
