Hey everyone...First off, I appreciate anyone who is willing to help me...I understand it takes quite a bit of time to offer some advice and once again, I appreciate everything.

Okay, so let me get down to business....For a while now a lot of my .pkg and .mpkg (specifically my Missing Sync program I just downloaded) will not open up the Installer window to actually install the application. With some apps I can get in a loophole and drag the contents to the Hard Drive, but this isn't the case with my new ap. Does anyone have any advice for me? Please and thank you.

What happens when you double-click the mpkg file? Does some other application open, instead? If that's the case you need to re-associate .mpkg files with Installer:
  1. Select an mpkg file
  2. Do a Get Info :)apple:+I)
  3. Select open with, and choose Installer from the list, if it's available. Otherwise, open the Other option and find Installer (it should be in /Applications/Utilities).
  4. Click Change All, and confirm when prompted.
