I have a Macbook Pro that will on its own reboot after a period of time between 15 minutes to a hour. doesnt seem to matter what im doing at the time IE: in safari or playing a movie

to me this would seem to be some kind of heating issue but any help would be appercaited

so you're saying you use it anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour and then it reboots... and keeps rebooting until you manually shut it down, let it sit for a while and then turn it back on?

that does sound like a heat issue to me. try downloading a temperature widget and monitoring how hot your MacBook Pro gets and maybe that can shed some light on it. If it does get really hot, I'd say call Apple and explain the symptoms along with the temperature and they should send you a box to send it in and get a new heat monitoring system put on it to take care of it
