While I am typing a paper my screen will randomly turn off for a few seconds and that's what scares me. Why is it doing this? I don't want it to shut down while I am writing My lab reports!! It also does it any other time it's random
 
What exact MacBook with what exact Mac OS X version do you use and does it only happen during the use of one certain application?
