My Macbook stutters too often now during video playback .. why?

It just seems that over the past month or so .. I can't even watch a YouTube video, a one that's in HQ (not HD) without the video stuttering and skipping about once ever 15-20 seconds. Why is this?

mine too. all the time. especially if i make the video full screen. and it doesn't just stutter. most of the time it just freezes. it doesn't matter what type of video i'm playing, or with what program. please help.

I had something similar with my stock 2.4 Alu MB. There would be white flashes in the video. I checked the uptime for my MB was around 9 days. So I finally decided to shut it off and give it a rest for about an hour. After I turned it back on everything was smooth and perfect.

You might want to give that a try, I don't know if our problems are similar.
