Hey guys ,

i'm new to mac and just got my magic mouse for my macbook pro, the tracking is way to slow is there anyway i can fix that ?

i searched the internet and all i can find is that people are install mouse zoom to make it better , but isnt there official apple fix for that ?

thank you

Simple questions first.

Have you turned the tracking speed up in System Preferences > Mouse?

If you have already done that then take a look at MagicPreferences. This gives you the option to increase the speed further.

one quick question ,

before i installed magic prefs , i went to a forum and saw this command which i added to terminal to increase mouse speed.

is there a way to undo this command back to defaults ?

defaults write -g com.apple.scaling 5.0

Im no terminal expert but would it not make sense to use this command?

would this not effectively set it back to default?

found this command on youtube , but honestly i dont think it does anything at all , but i did use 1.0 at the end of the command and nothing happened and no harm done , im using magicprefs which is helping with my magic mouse tracking.

but im just wondering terminal code experts would tell me what that command does exactly ?
