my mbp hard drive failed so got that replaced..now parellels wont work..any ideas

well all my data was transferred to my new hard drive but when i try to use parellels now it wont work..i have a lot of movies and music on it..any ideas whats wrong? when i click it it doesnt even come onto the dock..nothing happens..appreciate any help

What won't work - parallels or the guest OS?

Did you have a backup? because if your hard drive failed, its very possible that you lost some data, which may include your guest OS and/or Parallels. Did you try to reinstall parallels?

was the transfer done with a time machine backup? If it was often it is set to not backup your virtual machine meaning your backup would not restore all that data

Look for a .pvm file, which is the actual virtual machine file. Move it somewhere, and re-install parallels.

i used carbon copy and winclone to get data off my hard drive. Not sure how you got windows partition data backed up and restored.
